Viola d'amore, made in Germany, second half of the XIX° century.
Two piece table of medium grain spruce, two flame soundholes.
Ribs, neck and two piece back in medium curl maple.
Ivory nut, ebony fingerboard and asymmetrical tailpiece.
Pegbox with carved vine branch, terminating in a blindfolded female head.
Brown varnish on golden ground.
Fourteen ebony pegs, seven bowed strings, seven sympathetic strings.
