Violin by Georges CHANOT made in Paris (France) circa 1830. Two piece table of spruce of medium grain tapering towards the rigth flank. Two piece back of maple of medium curl descending towards the flanks. Ribs and head of the similar wood. Varnish of a red colour on gold ground.
