Viola d'amore, anonymous, made in Germany, mid. 18th century.
Spruce table edged with ebony stringing, pierced with two soundholes in flame shape, double purfling.
Two piece back of maple of narrow curl, double purfling.
Ribs of maple slightly flamed.
Head and neck changed by Leopold WILL in Geneva (Swiss) in 1864.
Pegbox terminating in a blind folded female head.
Twelve clear wood pegs, seven bowed strings, five sympathetic strings.
Bridge by Albert Claudot, asymetric ebony tailpiece, ivory nut.
Varnish of an golden-yellox colour.
