TROMBONE SIX VALVES MAHILLON
Trombone with six independent valves by Charles MAHILLON made in Bruxelles (Belgium) c.1900.
Body L shaped of brass, valves are gathered by three in two perpendicular groups.
Removable bell, adjustable hook.
Bell decorated with engraved twigs and arabesques.
Inscribed on the bell : L (in a star) / C. MAHILLON / FOURNISSEUR

Two patents were deposited by Adolphe SAX for the sytem of six independent valves ( 1852 et 1859 ) . It allowed to give rigth positions for all notes by changing fingering.
