Two piece table of spruce of narrow grain opening towards the flanks.
Table and soundhole edged with stringing of ebony and maple.
Ebony bridge.
Fingerboard in wood stained in black, seventeen brass frets.
Ribs and one piece back of sycamore.
Neck and head in black lacquered wood, brass machine head, bone buttons.
Deep orange varnish.

The bandurria has become a fundamental instrument of the folklore of certain regions of Spain and appears frequently in the lyric Spanish repertoire , the zarzuela. It was also used for the Dominican merengue.
