Romantic guitar by Augustin CLAUDOT made in Mirecourt (France) circa 1820.
Spruce table and soundhole edged with wood purfling and mop and ebony diamond. Ebony pin-bridge terninating in balusters. Ebony fingerboard. Eight metal frets then seven in ebony. Ribs and two piece back in maple with narrow curl. Neck and figure-of eight head veneered of ebony with six reversed ebony pegs.
