F. DUPIN and his son Jules DUPIN, organ maker in Paris, invented and made circa 1890 'popular'instruments; flutes then a kind of bamboo keyless clarinet. This humanist purpose was to democratize the clarinet, by offering low price instrument so that each can reach the music.
